Ein Lehrer in der Stadt Fushun bleibt wegen seines Glaubens in Haft, seine Frau fordert seine Freilassung.

Li Juntian unterrichtete am 13. Mai 2017 an der Mittelschule Yucai, als die Polizei kam, um ihn in Haft zu nehmen. Knapp eine Stunde später wurde seine Frau Han Xiulian zu Hause verhaftet. Die Polizei zerrte sie an den Haaren den ganzen Weg von ihrer Wohnung im fünften Stock zum Polizeiauto. Dabei verlor sie ein großes Büschel Haare.

Li und Han wurden zum Ziel der Verfolgung, weil sie sich weigerten, auf Falun Gong zu verzichten. Falun Gong ist ein spiritueller Kultivierungsweg, der vom chinesischen kommunistischen Regime verfolgt wird.

Während Han später an jenem Tag freigelassen wurde, befindet sich ihr Mann immer noch im Untersuchungsgefängnis des Bezirks Heping in Haft. IhrAntrag auf seine Freilassung wurde abgelehnt.

Dies ist nicht das erste Mal, dass Li wegen seines Glaubens zur Zielscheibe der Verfolgung geworden ist. Er war einmal zu Zwangsarbeit verurteilt worden. Seine erste Frau ließ sich unter dem Druck der Verfolgung von ihm scheiden, und er bemühte sich, seinen Sohn alleine aufzuziehen.

Sein Leben machte eine Wendung, als er später in seine derzeitige Schule versetzt wurde und Han traf, die damals an Krebs erkrankt war. Li stellte ihr Falun Gong vor und zeigte ihr die Übungen – bald war sie krankheitsfrei.

Die beiden heirateten, aber ihr glückliches Leben wurde bald durch die letzte Verhaftung zunichte gemacht.
